Description: Recording and study of oral memory in order to detect the social and cultural physiognomy of urban centers, the multiple collective memories and identities in the city. Key issues that are explored are work as a gender and mainly class experience, immigration, the 1940s - 50s, refugees, daily life, etc. A group of 170 interviews with recorded life stories has been compiled so far. Many of them come from graduate students' work. The digitization of the material has been completed and its inclusion in a relevant database is imminent. The owner of the collection intends to include the above material in the Folklore Museum and the Folklore Museum of the University of Ioannina (http://folklore-museum.uoi.gr/)
