Description: <P>Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.</P>The People's Panel was set up by the Government to find out what people think about how public services are delivered and how that delivery can be improved. The Panel will provide a ready resource for departments and public bodies wishing to conduct research, and will extend and encourage the constitution processes already being carried out.<br> <br> The key objectives of this project were: understanding of what services are available; the role of the Government in providing services; trust in Government to deliver those services; lessons for the future in relating to the citizen; cost-effective means for future consultation - quantitative and qualitative; scope to address cross-sectoral issues.<br>

The recruitment questionnaire for the People's Panel was a 52-minute interview covering the following topics:<br> usage of public services; satisfaction with public services; information provision of public services; general opinions of public services; health priorities for the country; service delivery by health/local authority services; one-stop shops; community involvement; electronic government; demographics.
