Data are drawn from a history of the Coldstream Guards that includes 796 individuals. A second regiment, the Scots Guard Officers Corps was similarly examined. It comprised 1950 individual careers. <B>Main Topics</B>:<BR> Variables<br> Year reached rank of: ensign, lieutenant, captain, junior 2nd major, senior 1st major, lieutenant colonel, colonel. Title when enlisted, title subsequently, reasons for and circumstances of leaving, promotion, former position, if any (if entered Coldstream Guard above rank of ensign).<br> <br> Please note: this study does not include information on named individuals and would therefore not be useful for personal family history research.<br> |
