Description:	This material consists of parts of the Swedish election studies for 2006 and 2010, both carried out in connection with the Swedish general elections those years. The Swedish general elections studies are a nation-wide series of interviews followed by surveys, where questions about respondents' political views and opinions as well general political interest, are asked. Many of the questions are replications of questions asked in one or several of the previous surveys, but there are also a number of questions not asked before. The dataset includes responses and statistics for the group that was interviewed for both the 2006 and 2010 elections, and no data from the 2010-2014 panel. As such, the dataset can be viewed as effectively containing half the data from the 2006 Swedish general election and half of that from the 2010 one. Purpose: To explain why people vote as they do and why an election ends in a particular way. Track and follow trends in the Swedish electoral democracy and make comparisons with other countries. Detta är en del av Svensk valundersökning 2006 och 2010. Valundersökningarna är en riksomfattande undersökningsserie kring partival, valdeltagande och opinionsbildning inom den svenska valmanskåren i samband med ett riksdagsval. Studierna genomförs vid riksdagsval som rullande panelundersökningar. Materialet i det här datasetet bygger på den panel som deltog i 2006 och 2010 års studier. Ett stort antal av frågorna har ställts i en eller flera tidigare valundersökningar, vilket gör stora delar av studierna jämförbara över tid. Syfte: Att förklara varför väljare röstar som de gör och varför val slutar som de gör. Spåra och följa trender i svensk valdemokrati och göra jämförelser med utvecklingen i andra länder. Datasetet skapat utifrån valundersökningen 2006 och valundersökningen 2010. Innehåller de respondenter som ingick i panelen 2006 och 2010.
